British author Neil Gaiman, best known for his critically acclaimed book Sandman, has landed in a major controversy. Eight women have accused him of sexual misconduct in an article for New York Magazine. In the piece, titled There Is No Safe Word, the women have spoken about being abused and assaulted by Gaiman.
Neil Gaiman accused of sexual misconduct, shocking details emerge
Several women have leveled allegations of sexual misconduct against Neil Gaiman. In an article, Scarlett Pavlovich¨Cwho used to babysit his child¨C claimed that her first meeting with the writer resulted in a ¡®non-consensual¡¯ sexual encounter when he asked her to take a bath in the garden bathtub and later joined her. She also shared graphic details about the encounter and recalled that he ejacuated on her body part without her permission.
Pavlovich added that she discussed the matter with Amanda Palmer, his ex-wife, and filed a police case.
The matter, however, did not proceed and she was made to sign an NDA. Pavlovich also revealed that he paid her $ 9,200 over nine months. Another woman, identified as Kendra Scout, wrote that Neil Gaiman ¡®didn¡¯t believe in lubrication and foreplay¡¯. She also accused him of indulging in BDSM practices without discussing ¡®limits¡¯ and ¡®safe words¡¯.
What Neil Gaiman had said about the allegations
These allegations first surfaced in 2024 and became the talk of the town in no time. Back then, Gaiman denied these claims. Addressing Kendra Scout¡¯s accusations, he said that their relationship was not ¡®unlawful¡¯. He also dismissed Pavlovich allegations, saying that she had ¡®false memories¡¯ because of a condition.
