Netizens Sharing Acts Of Kindness By Strangers Is The Chicken Soup For Your Soul Today
We all live a mad, mad world. A world filled with hate, regret, and sadness. But amid all of this are stories of hope and kindness that keep us all afloat.
And thanks to the Internet we get to hear about a lot of them these days. One such Twitter thread started with renowned Canadian writer Nicole Cliffe.
What is the kindest thing a stranger has done or said to you?

She tweeted a call-out on Tuesday asking followers to share the kindest things strangers have said or done for them.
People from all walks of life commented, sharing their own stories of strangers who helped them.
Nicole Cliffe starts off by sharing an incident when an air hostess stepped up to help her when her baby got airsick. The air hostess shared her yoga pants from her carry on and wrote her address on the baby's diaper so Nicole could mail it back.
Take a look at some of the most heartwarming stories:
Mine: one baby of mine used to get airsick and the first time it happened we were just leaving the gate and there was puke all over my pants and the seat cushion so they had to BRING THE PLANE BACK to replace the seat and seatbelt and everyone hated me and...

I was standing, covered in puke, holding my now only diaper-clad baby & trying not to cry while business travelers glared at me, and then a flight attendant took my baby and gave me a pair of yoga pants from her carry-on & wrote her address on a napkin so I could mail them back.

I firmly believe that she will go to heaven no matter what she may do in the rest of her life.

This guy shared an incident of how a stranger rescued him from getting jostled around in a mosh pit during a rock concert.
When I was a young, pimpled mall-goth, I used to go to a bunch of music festivals and concerts. One time, for my favorite band, I managed to get really close to the front but I kept getting knocked around by people moshing (BTW I am really small, literally 5 foot nothing). https://t.co/eYEQItpaVr

At some point, I noticed a sizeable decrease in how much I was getting jostled. So I looked up and saw this HUGE BEEFY MAN had made a U shape around me with his arms so he could protect me w/o hugging me in a creepy way. He nodded at me and I went back to (nervously) rocking out

The story of how a group of LGBTQs talked a caller coming out as gay from self-harm will restore your faith in humanity.
Oh God I can¡¯t even tell this story and not cry.

I used to manage an LGBT bookstore, when bookstores were still a thing. One night, a caller says he thinks he might be gay and is considering self-harm. We were not a crisis center!
But as long as we¡¯re talking, he¡¯s safe, right?
So I talk to this guy and I answer questions, and I try to be encouraging and I¡¯m maybe sounding a little frantic and I¡¯m definitely ignoring the 4-5 customers in the store, and this angel of a woman puts her hand on my shoulder and asks for the phone.

¡°My turn,¡± she says.
And SHE, this 50-something lesbian talks to this stranger on the phone. And a LINE FORMS BEHIND HER. Every customer in that store knows that call, knows that feeling, and every person takes a turn talking to that man.

That story comforts me so much to this day.
When a stranger came in to comfort this little girl after her mother was taken to the emergency room.
When I was a little girl my mom was taken suddenly to the emergency room and I was left outside in the van to watch my sleeping little sisters. I had the windows rolled down Bc Florida heat... and I was sitting alone crying. A woman came outside to smoke and saw me.

She called me over and gave me a hug and talked to me about my mom and told me she was worried about someone too. In retrospect, I broke every don¡¯t talk to stranger rule, but I did keep an eye on my sisters and I¡¯d been left outside the hospital in a van so ???¡â?...I needed the hug

This restauranter's kindness to a man who just lost his mother to cancer.
My mother had just died after a brutal fight with cancer. I walk aimlessly & eventually wandered into a Mexican diner. I had delicious green chilaquiles, and then realized I didn¡¯t have my wallet.

The owner told not to worry.
It was exactly what my mom would have done.
When random words of appreciation turn into the most cherished memories
One time I was finishing a reading before class & was sitting on a bench outside. A stranger tapped my shoulder & said, ¡°I¡¯m sorry, but the way the light was shining on you, you looked like an angel¡± then walked off. I think abt her every day https://t.co/UgCzoGquCy
