'Pissed' fans question CSK skipper MS Dhoni's slow innings against KKR: 'What is he up to?'

After restricting Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to 179 runs in 20 overs, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got off to a poor start, with Ayush Mhatre and Devon Conway both departing for ducks at Eden Gardens. Urvil Patel (31 off 11) and Dewald Brevis (52 off 25) showed resistance, but CSK lost 6 wickets at intervals. The responsibility to chase now rested on the shoulders of Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni. While Dube found the boundaries, Dhoni struggled, managing just 9 runs off 14 balls in a slow innings.

At this point, CSK needed 19 runs from 13 balls, having scored 162 for 6. However, fans were frustrated with Dhoni¡¯s approach to the chase, as he wasted a lot of balls. The frustration grew so much that fans took to social media to question what he was up to, criticizing him for not finishing the game earlier and instead dragging it to the very end.
