After Kamra-Bhavish Aggarwal spat, Ola Electric claims resolving 10,500 complaints to 'complete customer satisfaction'
Ola Electric has reported resolved over 99% of customer complaints following a public dispute between CEO Bhavish Agarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra. This comes after the Central Consumer Protection Authority issued a notice to the company for alleged consumer rights violations.
Following a widely publicised exchange on X between Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Agarwal and stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra earlier this month, Ola Electric has announced that it has successfully resolved over 99% of customer complaints. This announcement comes in the wake of a notice issued by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) against the company regarding alleged violations of consumer rights.
Ola Electric announces resolution of over 99% customer complaints
On October 21, Ola announced that 99.1% of the 10,644 complaints received from the CCPA were "resolved to the complete satisfaction of the customer as per Ola Electric's robust redressal mechanism."
This announcement follows a show cause notice issued by the CCPA regarding allegations of consumer rights violations, misleading advertisements, and unfair trade practices.
In response to Ola's announcement, comedian Kunal Kamra took to X, questioning the public interest in the company's issues.
He stated, "Why is OLA a public issue? 1) The company is fooling the public. 2) The company is subsidised by public money. 3) The company is publicly listed."

How did the Kunal Kamra vs Bhavish Aggarwal spat begin?
The back-and-forth between Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and comedian Kunal Kamra ignited earlier this month when Aggarwal took offense to Kamra's criticism of Ola electric scooter service (or the lack of it.)
In response to Kamra's comments, Aggarwal suggested that if Kamra genuinely cared about the scooters, he would be willing to pay him to assist the company.
Since you care so much @kunalkamra88, come and help us out! I¡¯ll even pay more than you earned for this paid tweet or from your failed comedy career.

Or else sit quiet and let us focus on fixing the issues for the real customers. We¡¯re expanding service network fast and backlogs¡ https://t.co/ZQ4nmqjx5q
Otherwise, he urged the comedian to "shut up" and allow Ola to address "real customer issues."
The feud escalated quickly, with each exchange between the two becoming more heated, drawing attention from netizens and prompting further debate on social media.
Chot lagi? Dard hua? Aaja service center. Bahut kaam hai. I will pay better than your flop shows pay you.

Show your audience how much you truly care and whether you¡¯re only gas and BS. https://t.co/yEvxhoGTvR
Kamra also mentioned Minister Nitin Gadkari and the Department of Consumer Affairs in his posts, amplifying his critique of Ola's services and the overall progress of electric vehicle adoption in India.
