Viral Image Shows Brands That Have Pulled Out Of The Russian Market Following The Ukraine Invasion
When it comes to brands, several of them have stepped in to protest against the ongoing aggression against Ukraine by Russia by stopping their sales in Russia. Now, a viral image has surfaced on social media which shows the many brands that have boycotted the Russian market fully or partially since the invasion.
As Russia attacked Ukraine, the world has condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin's actions aggressively. From citizens of Russia, and the world, along with governments of other countries, and brands, everyone has expressed their disgust with the Russian authorities' actions.
When it comes to brands, several of them have stepped in to protest against the ongoing aggression against Ukraine by Russia by stopping their sales in Russia. Now, a viral image has surfaced on social media which shows the number of brands that have boycotted the Russian market fully or partially since the invasion.
Some of the examples are:
The Russian government is functionally excluded from international financial markets. Major Russian banks have been excluded from the SWIFT payment system, and their customers can no longer receive funds to export goods and services or pay for imports.
Apple Inc. has stopped selling its products in all of its official Russian online stores. Along with that, Apple Pay is also no longer functional. Google Pay and Samsung Pay are also no longer operating in Russia, and PayPal has frozen transactions on Russian bank cards.
YouTube has blocked Russian state-run media channels RT and Sputnik across Europe.
Audi, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes, Citroen, General Motors, Ford, and Skoda have left the Russian automobile market.
A total of 32 countries, including the United States, Canada, Britain and the EU, have closed their air space to Russian aircraft, including private planes of Russian oligarchs.
The world¡¯s largest processor manufacturers Intel and AMD have stopped supplying to Russia.
Nike has decided to stop delivering goods to Russia and has shut down its online stores in the country.
