Apple Inc. announced that it would no longer sell its products in Russia after the country's president Vladimir Putin ordered its troops to invade Ukraine. Now, in retaliation, a video of a Russian man smashing an Apple iPad has surfaced on social media.

"Here's our response to American sanctions! We don't fear you! We'll live without your nice 'pretty' things!" pic.twitter.com/MDFzSqAyva
The man begins to place the iPad on the floor, and smashes the screen repeatedly with the hammer. After that, he flips the device over and continues to smash the back of it with the hammer before telling the young child to do the same.
In the video, the man says in Russian, "That's our response to your sanctions. We don't need your petty modern things, we can survive without them. Here, son, finish it off. I cut myself a little, but that's OK, we'll survive."
Scarr mentioned in his tweet's caption that the stunt was carried out due to "fallout" over Apple's decision not to sell its products in Russia.
The video has been viewed more than 1.7 million times on the microblogging website. Users took to the comments section to express their thoughts on the stunt.
"It really hurts Apple to see them destroy that iPad they ALREADY PAID FOR," wrote one user with a laughing gif.

Another user chimed in and wrote, "Dear Sir, Apple doesn¡¯t care. You already paid them for the device. It is your son you just punished."
¡°Son, remember that iPad 4 in the basement? The one that won¡¯t charge? Go get it. We¡¯re about to get some attention," mocked another user.
One more user wrote, "I prefer Russians killing Apple devices much more then Russians killing woman and children in Ukraine."
