Odisha Transport Department Changes Bus Schedule After Boy Complains Of Being Late For School

Making good use of Twitter, a student in Odisha drew the State Transportation Department's attention to how the modified bus service schedule makes him late for school every day. In his complaint, Sai Anwesh Amrutam Pradhan, a student of MBS Public School in Bhubaneswar, reported that while the school reporting time is 7:30 am, the first bus on Route No-13 leaves from Lingipur at 7:40 am.

My reporting time at school is sharp at 7:30 AM. But unfortunately the first bus of route no-13 leaves at 7:40 AM from Lingipur. As a result I will be late for my school. And for this reason I am facing a lot of problems.
He tagged the Capital Region Urban Transport Bhubaneswar (CRUT) on Twitter and its Managing Director, IPS officer Arun Bothra. He stressed that he was ¡®facing a lot of trouble¡¯ and would be ¡®thankful¡¯ if they could take some immediate action.
Part of the tweet read, ¡®Respected Sir, I want to state that I am a student of MBS public school, Bhubaneswar. I use Mo Bus as my daily transportation means to go to school. Nowadays the timing of the buses are changed¡¯.
CRUT and Bothra reacted positively to Anwesh's plea in a matter of a few hours, winning people's hearts.

Managing Director of CRUT, IPS officer Bothra, took to Twitter to respond to him, saying the timings will be changed.
¡®Mo Bus moves with love of commuters like you. The timing of your bus will be changed from Monday. The first bus will start at 7 AM. You won¡¯t be late for school¡¯, he wrote.

Earlier this week, the Mo Bus services - which were introduced as part of the City Bus Modernisation' programme of the state government-owned Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) - announced a shift in its time table that affected the student.
