At 2:35 in the morning on April 4 in San Francisco, Lee, 43, a former chief technology officer of Square, chief product officer of cryptocurrency platform MobileCoin, and creator of Cash App, was fatally stabbed.
Another person's life has been lost in the United States due to a violent stabbing with a knife.
On April 2, Bob Lee retweeted video footage of a SpaceX rocket taking off from the launch pad with the comment, "Liftoff!"

At 2:35 in the morning on April 4 in San Francisco, Lee, 43, a former chief technology officer of Square, chief product officer of cryptocurrency platform MobileCoin, and creator of Cash App, was fatally stabbed.
A news release by the San Francisco Police Department says that "officers arrived on scene and located a 43-year-old adult male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds."
"Even though first responders and medical staff tried to help, the victim died from his injuries," the news release said.
Many business leaders, including Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, condemned the "horrific" stabbing death of Cash App inventor Bob Lee on Tuesday night in San Francisco.
'I Will Miss Him Every Day'
Many in the tech industry voiced condolences at the passing of Lee, who was known by many as "Crazy Bob."
"Bob was a force of nature. Helped to birth Android and CashApp into our world," said MobileCoin CEO Joshua Goldbard interview with ABC7 News. "Moby was his dream: a privacy-protecting wallet for the 21st Century. I will miss him every day."
Lee was Square's first chief technology officer, the financial technology startup co-founded by Jack Dorsey, and now called Block Inc.
"It's real. Getting calls. Heartbreaking," Dorsey said, as per a report on KTVU.com. "Bob was instrumental to Square and Cash App. STL guy."
Anchorage Digital co-founder and President and former Square platform security head Diogo M車nica took to Facebook and wrote, "brought me and many other early engineers to the team, was stabbed to death in San Francisco on Tuesday night."
"I was with him just a few weeks ago, and he gave me his trademark bear hug and told everyone around me how amazing I was and the story of how I had gotten to Square," M車nica wrote.
"He was brilliant and generous beyond words. We have been robbed of an amazing human being who contributed so much. You*ll be missed."
Bill Barhydt, the CEO of the digital payments firm Abra, tweeted., "I just got the devastating news that our friend Bob Lee (@crazybob) was killed in San Francisco early today,"
"Bob was a dad, the former CTO of Square, where he created Cash App & CTO of Mobile Coin. He was a generous, decent human being who didn*t deserve to be killed."
"Heartbreaking," Paul Bohm, founder and CEO of the rideshare company TeleportXYZ, tweeted.

Musk, Twitter's CEO, extended condolences for the passing of Lee.
