7th Day of Navratri 2023: Maa Kalaratri
The seventh day of Navratri is dedicated to one of the most ferocious forms of Goddess Parvati, called Kalaratri, also known as Kali, who sacrificed her skin colour and embraced a dark complexion to kill the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha. She rides on a donkey. She has four hands and carries a sword, a trident, and a noose, and the fourth one is on Abhaya and Varada Mudra to bless devotees.
Interestingly, she is also hailed as Shubhankari (the one who does good). Kalaratri Maa governs Shani (Saturn), and hence, those suffering from Shani Dosha worship her to negate the adverse effects. Moreover, this avatar of the Mother Goddess destroys evil to restore peace and Dharma.

Maa Kaalratri Aarti with Lyrics in English
Kalaratri jay-jay-mahakali.
Kal ke muh se bachane vali.
Dusht sangharak nam tumhara.
Mahachandi tera avatar.
Prthvi aur akash pe sara.
Mahakali hai tera pasara.
Khadag khappar rakhane vali.
Dushton ka lahoo chakhane vali.
Kalakatta sthan tumhara.
Sab jagah dekhoon tera najara.
Sabhi devata sab nar-nari.
Gaven stuti sabhi tumhari.
Raktadanta aur annapoorna.
Krpa kare to koi bhi duhkh na.
Na koi chinta rahe bimari.
Na koi gam na sankat bhari.
Us par kabhi kasht na aven.
Mahakali man jise bachabe.
Too bhi bhakt prem se kah.
Kalaratri man teri jay.
