'Close off your womb to men': Liberal women revive historic protest in bold response to Trump's win 每 'No dating, marriage, or children'
In response to Donald Trump's victory, many women, particularly those concerned with women's rights, are drawing inspiration from South Korea's '4B movement,' pledging to challenge gender inequality.
Donald Trump's victory has left many feeling disillusioned, particularly those who view him as sexist and hostile towards the LGBTQ+ community. Now in a bold move, women opposing Trump are drawing inspiration from history, reviving the powerful Korean feminist '4B movement' 〞 a pledge to withhold sex from men in an effort to challenge and reshape gender power dynamics.
The 4B movement, which began in South Korea in 2019, is based on four principles, each starting with the Korean word "bi," meaning "no" in English. The movement encourages women to reject certain societal expectations imposed on them, with the four main aspects being:
Bihon: No heterosexual marriage
Bichulsan: No childbirth
Biyeonae: No dating
Bisekseu: No heterosexual sex
Supporters of the 4B movement refuse to participate in these activities with men, as a way to resist patriarchal structures and challenge gender inequality.
Now, inspired by this, a growing number of women in the United States are calling for a similar movement to combat gender-based oppression.

Reminder that the 4B movement, and the separatist movement in general, isn't just about avoiding men〞it's also about supporting and investing in women. Seek out relationships with women, women-owned businesses, women-made media, etc; surround yourself with women and our culture. https://t.co/hjTsfiYW6b

Some have gone as far as encouraging women to "take it a step further" by "collectively getting hysterectomies," while others are declaring they're "breaking up with their Republican boyfriends" following the election, according to the New York Post.
Additionally, a few have even suggested shaving their heads as a form of protest.
My favorite #4B head shave video so far. This is a must watch. pic.twitter.com/SpeXCdeiOn

Please shave your heads like this one so we know who you are. Fight the patriarchal beauty standard by smelling bad, growing leg hair, and refraining from brushing your teeth! Do it!

Why some women are opposing Trump: Concerns over women's rights and gender equality
The recent U.S. presidential election highlighted a gender divide, with 55% of men supporting Trump and 53% of women backing Harris.
Trump's win has raised concerns about potential rollbacks on reproductive rights and other protections for women.
During his re-election campaign, Trump had celebrated the Supreme Court's 2022 decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, ending the federal right to abortion.
Earlier, Trump has made numerous controversial statements that many see as sexist and degrading, such as the infamous 2005 Access Hollywood tape where he boasted about grabbing women without consent.
He's also mocked women in politics, calling Senator Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas" and labeling Hillary Clinton "Crooked Hillary" during the 2016 election.
A strong opponent of abortion rights, Trump appointed conservative judges Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, who are known for their opposition to abortion.
His administration also sought to limit abortion access by attempting to defund Planned Parenthood and enforcing the "global gag rule," which prevents international organisations that receive U.S. aid from offering abortion services.
