Jaw-dropping Moment: Daring Dad Gets Daughter's Name Tattooed 667 Times

People frequently have themselves inked with the names of their loved ones. Tattoos are like stickers for grown-ups, but with a catch ¨C they stick around forever!

And let's not forget the pain, which is like a rite of passage. It's a reminder that you survived something that hurt, and you came out of it looking cooler than ever. That's right, you're a tattoo warrior!

Now, a British guy has gone one step further by getting 667 tattoos of the name of his daughter. Here's what we know.

Mark Owen Evans inked his daughter Lucy's name 267 times over his back in 2017. The Guinness World Record for "most tattoos of the same name on the body" was given to him at the time.

Evans tried to break this record to "celebrate Lucy's birth, as well as to raise funds for the hospital which provided care for her in the following months," according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Previous similar records weren't even close to this feat

Diedra Vigil, a 27-year-old American woman, broke the record in 2020 by getting 300 tattoos of her own name. Evans then made the decision to "reclaim" his previous record and added 400 more "Lucy" tattoos, for a total of 667.

This time, he had 200 tattoos placed on each of his thighs. The 400 tattoos were created by two tattoo artists in a little more than five and a half hours. Evans said in a statement to The Sun, "It felt weird - because two tattoo artists were doing it at once, the pain was kind of cancelled out. I love that I literally wear my record and take it everywhere," he continued.

Rick Scolamiero from Canada and Ryan Logsdon from the United States broke yet another intriguing tattoo-related world record. Scolamiero and Logsdon each have 34 tattoos on their bodies that are connected to Marvel. They share the record for having the most tattoos of Marvel comic book characters.
