Desperate Pune man pleads thief to return scooter, promises a brand new one: 'Mother's last memory'
Abhay Chaugule from Pune made a heartfelt appeal on social media after his late mother's scooter, a black Activa, was stolen on Dussehra. The scooter holds sentimental value as a last connection to his mother, who passed away three months ago after battling cancer.
A man from Pune took to social media to make an impassioned appeal after his late mother's scooter was stolen. Abhay Chaugule wrote on Instagram that his black Activa was taken on Dussehra from Pune's Kothrud neighbourhood, near a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. After a thorough search of the area, he filed a police report, but the scooter has yet to be located.
Chaugule went on to say that the scooter, which his mother had purchased before her death, held a special place in his heart. According to media accounts, his mother died three months ago following a lengthy fight with cancer.
So, for him, the automobile is more than simply a source of transportation; it's one of his last connections to his mother. Chaugule lost his father to COVID-19 two years ago.

Chaugule used social media to share his tale in Marathi. "My black Activa MH14BZ6036 was taken on Dussehra, and it is my mother's final memory. The initial half of the post was, "Please help me find it." He also shared his phone number and Instagram ID.
He captioned the post, ¡°Plz help me find My BLACK ACTIVA MH14BZ6036. It was stollen from Kothrud on Dassara Night. Plz, contact me on 9766617464. or DM on this id @abhayanjuu.¡± He even used the hashtags, ¡®activa' and ¡®blackactivamissing.'

Many people responded positively to the post. In the second section of his post, Chaugule addressed the person guilty of the theft directly. Here's what people wrote.
He stated it was his humble appeal to the "thief who stole my Activa, which my mother purchased after a lot of hard work. It's her final memory; please return it.
Abhay Chaugule also offered to buy the guy a new two-wheeler if they returned his mother's scooter.
