Frequent breaks mid-performance

"Honestly, the man really needs to work on himself and the production quality of his shows," the user said.

First off, they were frustrated by the late start. "He took the stage 10 minutes past 8. I am sorry, what? At least give us 3 hours of music."

The fan also expressed displeasure with Diljit's attitude toward the venue and the infrastructure in India. "He cribbed about poor infra in India and threatened he won't host any more shows in the country till things improved."

This complaint was followed by another observation about Diljit's performance style. "The man took at least 30 seconds to 1 minute break after each song. And mind you, his songs are not more than 3 minutes long," adding, "I have attended tons of shows, and really no one does that. They perform out and out, keeping the audience on their toes."

Technical issues, 'shameless' promotions

Then, technical issues made things worse. "Mid-concert, the left side of speakers began to throw shrill audio, which they took about 5 minutes to fix."

"Oh, and at 9 pm sharp, he took a 20-minute break, and the screen literally said Intermission lol. Movie dekhne aaye hain kya l**u," they wrote.

The fan also noted the blatant promotion during the show. "Shamelessly plugging Mokabora bags," they pointed out, feeling that it detracted from the experience.

Finally, their frustration peaked at the end of the show. "He disappeared from the stage at 10 sharp while his band continued to sing the last song on loop. At 10:05, the lights came up, and just like that, the concert was over."

In conclusion, the user felt the entire experience was underwhelming. "All in all, he may have sung for 1 hour max in the 1 hour 50 minutes that he was on stage."

"Sorry, Diljit, but your concerts are a mid at best. Before criticising India for poor infrastructure, I think you need to up your game and stop taking your audience for a poor ride."

For context, the 40-year-old Lover singer had announced during his Chandigarh concert on December 14 that, due to India's inadequate infrastructure, he would no longer be holding concerts in the country.

"Here we don't have infrastructure for live shows. This is a source of big revenue, many people get work and are able to work here...I'll try next time that the stage is at the centre so that you can be around it. Till this happens, I won't do shows in India, that's for sure," he had said.
