On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Donald Trump on his historic victory in the United States presidential election. He described Trump as a "friend" and indicated a desire to enhance the Indo-US relationship further. Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the United States.
Meanwhile, in a recent remark, Trump complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "total killer," labelling him as "the nicest human being" and a "very good friend."

In an October interview with Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh for the Flagrant podcast, Trump discussed his thoughts on several international leaders. He further said that before Modi became prime minister, India was a "very unstable" country.
¡°Modi (India), he's a friend of mine and also the nicest human being. Before him being appointed as the Prime Minister, India was very unstable. On the outside, he looks like he's your father. He is the nicest and a total killer,¡± Trump said.
Trump also mentioned Prime Minister Modi's 2019 visit to the United States for the historic "Howdy, Modi" event in Houston, Texas, when he addressed a big gathering of Indian-Americans at NRG Stadium.

In February 2020, Trump paid an important visit to India to attend the "Namaste Trump" event in Ahmedabad. This event was held at the world's largest cricket stadium and drew over 100,000 people, making it Trump's largest rally outside of the United States.
During the occasion, Trump commended Modi's leadership and India's economic growth, underlining the two countries' shared democratic principles.
