Elon Musk's recent announcement regarding the appointment of a new CEO for Twitter came just one day after he mentioned hiring a new CEO without revealing the individual's name.
Shortly after, reports emerged indicating that Linda Yaccarino, the chairman of NBCUniversal's Global Advertising and Partnerships division, was engaged in discussions to assume the position of Twitter's CEO.
On Friday, before Musk's confirmation, Yaccarino resigned from her position at NBCUniversal.

In December, Musk had already expressed his intention to step down as Twitter's chief executive once he found a suitable successor.
He humorously stated that he needed to find someone "foolish enough" to take on the role. However, Musk, who also serves as CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, will retain control over Twitter and maintain significant involvement in its management.
Recently, Musk officially renamed the company "X Corp." as the parent entity of Twitter.
