The fans of runaway hit show in Australia were left surprised when an imitation of a giant doll featuring in 'Squid Game¡¯ came up in Sydney.
The latest buzz on Netflix, 'Squid Game' has become something of a global phenomenon. Made in South Korea, the survival series is centred on a game in which 456 financially challenged adults compete in deadly games to win a massive cash prize.
The fans of the runaway hit show in Australia were left surprised when an imitation of a giant doll featuring in 'Squid Game¡¯ came up in Sydney harbour.
The doll weighs in at an impressive three tons and stands 4.5 meters high, local media reported. The doll even features a turning head and glowing red eyes like the character in the popular TV show.
The doll is even flanked by guards in pink jumpsuits and masks, giving fans and curious onlookers a chance to experience a bit of what it feels like being on Netflix¡¯s mega-hit show.
Fully vaccinated Sydney residents are able to visit the pop-up until November 1, 9News reported.
Netflix said people need to check in using the QR code, socially distance, and "play safe" around the doll.
"Anyone caught disobeying the rules will be eliminated (asked to leave)," Netflix said in an Instagram post.
Squid Game, a fictional drama from South Korea, is Netflix's biggest ever show.
The dystopian series follows contestants desperately in need of money playing deadly children's games to win cash prizes.
