This Guy's Feedback Mails To Major Brands Is Actually The Most Genius Idea Ever

When you buy something or order something and that item has some fault, do you generally complain about it? Well, in a fast-paced world like ours, we generally tend to ignore complaining about our products because who will waste time talking to customer care, right? Nothing is going to come out of it.

However, an Indian guy's (u/Viper284) post on Reddit has proved that a consumer should always question why is the product you have brought is not up to the mark.

He narrated his own stories with different brands and some of these are actually inspiring.

He started with Reynolds. He mentioned how as a kid he used write a lot and used write with Reynolds Trimax pens. However, after a bit most of the pens started leaking which made writing very inconvenient. He then went ahead and complained about the pen to the brand.

"I looked at the back of the pen case and saw an email address for feedback. Decided to send a mail and KAPLOW! I got a reply. They sent me a reply apologizing for the inconvenience and asked for my contact details. The next week these MFS SENT ME A WRITTEN APOLOGY ALONG WITH TWO FREE BLACK TRIMAXES THAT ACTUALLY WORKED.."

Next it was with Bata Shoes. The guy's mother had brought shoes which costed a lot but the soles on it came out after a very short time. So, the guy wrote another mail and the brand replied immediately asking him to replace the shoes free of cost. They asked him to add the difference if he chooses to buy another product.

Next he had a similar encounter with Nike. His shoes somehow got torn way too quickly even though he hadn't really used it too much. The first time the brand did not agree to the terms and notified that nothing can be done. However, after getting constant mails from the guy, they agreed to replace the shoes.

After this he had similar encounter with Britannia biscuits, where in he ended up getting an entire biscuit hamper. Then it was with ice cream, where again he he got a replacement of his choice.

Then he had sent a mail for his grandfather's underwear and finally he ended up sending a mail to Haldiram's because the instant biryani he brought had a lot of elaichi.

So, the conclusion here is that as a consumer we shouldn't be satisfied with a default product because at the end of the day we have spent our hard earned money on it. However, one mustn't also take advantage of the value some brands provide to us.
