People who experienced Taj Hotels hospitality have always recommended it as a must-visit, at least once. It is, after all, one of the world¡¯s most lavish hotel chains offered by the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), South Asia's largest hospitality company.
Now, its quality and hospitality have been acknowledged at the international level as Taj has been rated the Strongest Hotel Brand in the World by Brand Finance.
Taj received an overall Brand Strength Index of 89.3 out of 100, with a corresponding AAA rating for customer familiarity, employee satisfaction and corporate reputation as well as its world-class customer service.

Re-enters the list
Taj has been ranked earlier also in the report of 2016, but this year it re-entered the overall ranking list at 38th spot. This year, with its successful implementation of policies and strategies it has ranked on the top spot.

1. Taj Hotels
India¡¯s iconic Taj Hotels is the world¡¯s strongest hotel brand, according to a report based on factors such as marketing investment, customer familiarity, staff satisfaction, and corporate reputation. As of 2020, the company operates a total of 100 plus hotels and hotel resorts, with 84 across India and 16 in other countries, including Bhutan, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, UAE, UK, USA and Zambia.
2. Premier Inn
Premier Inn is a British hotel chain and the UK's largest hotel brand, with more than 72,000 rooms and 800 hotels. Premier Inn was dipped to the second spot from first in 2020 by receiving an overall Brand Strength Index of 88.9 out of 100, with a corresponding AAA rating in the 2021 survey.
3. Melia Hotels International
Melia Hotels International is a Spanish hotel chain that was founded by Gabriel Escarrer Julia in 1956. The company is one of Spain's largest domestic operators of holiday resorts and the 17th biggest hotel chain worldwide. Melia Hotels took the third spot by receiving an overall Brand Strength Index of 82.9 out of 100.
4. NH Hotel Group
NH Hotel Group SA is a multinational hotel company headquartered in Madrid, that operates over 350 hotels in 28 countries. NH Hotel Group received an overall Brand Strength Index of 82.0 out of 100, with a corresponding AAA rating for customer familiarity
5. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is a Hong Kong-based multinational hospitality company that has received an overall Brand Strength Index of 81.6 out of 100.
