ITBP is a specialized mountain force with soldiers who protect around 3,488 kilometres of the country's border from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jachep La in Arunachal Pradesh.
The border force also manages high-altitude outposts (9,000 feet to 18,700 feet) on the Western, Middle, and Eastern sectors along the Indo-China border, where temperatures even drop to -45 degrees Celsius at times.
A couple of days ago an ITBP official showed immense courage. In the video, a 55-year-old ITBP commandant was seen exercising and doing pushups in -30¡ãC.
