Kamala Harris Wins The Internet With Her Walkout Song 'Work That' By Mary J.Blige
Her walkout song was, 'Work That' by the American singer-songwriter, and it was the same song that Harris walked off the stage of the Democratic National Convention to after becoming the first woman of colour to be nominated to a major political party's presidential ticket in the history of the United States.
It is a proud moment for women of colour around the world, especially in the United States, as Kamala Harris becomes the first African, and the first Indian-American woman to become the Vice President of the country.
While addressing the nation, Harris emphasized on how her victory is a win for all the women out there who have been fighting for equal rights for decades, and it is on their shoulders that she stands. She also said she will continue the hard work for equality, liberty and justice.
Kamala Harris was donning a white suit in honour of the women's suffragist movement and Mary J. Blige's tunes were her anthem.
