Kerala Teen Builds Robot To Help Mum With Chores, Internet Roasts Him And Says 'Khud Kar Le'
The robot also aids the family in keeping track of when Shiyad's grandmother should take her pills.
A 17-year-old boy from Kerala found a perfect way to help his mother with chores¡ª he created a robot. Robot "Android Pathooty," created by a high school student from Kerala at 17, is equipped to do various domestic chores.
As per ANI, Muhammed Shiyad Chathoth, a class 12 student, built the robot to help his mother with domestic chores in the kitchen.
Shiyad's mother often ran late in the morning, and Shiyad's mother used to get frustrated because the kitchen was far from the dining room.
Shiyad's father told The Better India that Pathooty now walks that far to provide meals and other services to everyone. The robot also aids the family in keeping track of when Shiyad's grandmother should take her pills.
However, some Twitter users criticize Pathooty's aesthetic and the innovation's overall concept.

Many questioned the need for the robot to have a female appearance. Shiyad stated to The Better India that his mother chose this look.
¡°All of us, including my brother, father, and I, are equally involved in household chores," he said. He also justified that he did not intend for the innovation to send any wrong message.
¡°They did not forget to add the flavourful patriarchy by covering her head with a scarf. They gendered the robot because it¡¯s supposed to help around the house, so she¡¯s technically a robot bahu," noted a Netizen.
There were others who came to the defense of the innovation, insisting that it was well-intentioned. They also cited that the teen had designed the robot¡¯s appearance according to his mother¡¯s wish.
Others argued in favor of the innovation, saying it was well-intentioned, and supported it. Additionally, they stated how the teenager had designed the robot's appearance in line with his mother's wishes.
