Fans quickly speculated that she might be considering Chopra as a son-in-law.
But according to a Dainik Bhaskar report, Sumedha told Chopra, "Don't think of quitting the game like my daughter, you have a lot of game left in you."
So, it seems the speculation was off the mark!
Both Bhaker and Chopra are from Haryana. Manu Bhaker made history at the Paris Olympics by becoming the first Indian to win two medals in a single Games, the first bronze in the women's 10m air pistol and the second bronze in the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. Neeraj Chopra earned a silver in men's javelin, adding to his gold medal from the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
