The incident reportedly took place on March 1 in Garoth station, which falls under the railway¡¯s Kota division, said Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Ajay Kumar Pal.
¡°A sanitation worker from a private firm attached a toilet pipeline to the drinking water tank, which was thoroughly cleaned after the error and tested for potability. Stationmaster Chauthmal Meena was placed under suspension and the sanitation worker was removed from duty,¡± Pal said.

Details about the incident went viral on social media and on March, 5, West Central Railways came up with a statement informing that the incident was being investigated.
This incident has come to light amid surging cases of COVID-19 in some states including Maharashtra which witnessed a spike in cases of the new variant of the coronavirus.
