On Navratri, Hindu Temple Stops Bhajan For Azaan, And It's A Great Example Of Religious Harmony
Every now and then stories of communal distrust and violence threaten our faith in humanity. But amidst this noise we often forget humancapacity to love and empathise has really no set boundaries. It all comes down to giving futile assumptions and clear misunderstandings.

It all comes down to giving futile assumptions and clear misunderstandings. Over the years, we've heard several stories of interfaith harmony. From Hindus and Muslims participating in feasts together at a Shiva temple to a Christian priest in Mumbai showing off some flawless Garba moves. These stories fill us with hope of a better tomorrow.

More recently, a Facebook user shared a heartwarming instance of communal harmony during Navratri.
She wrote "I live in the predominantly Muslim area of Jamia Nagar in Delhi. There are a few Hindu families that live near my house though. In an area of mosques every few kilometers, there is a small temple for these families here. Nowadays, because of Navratras, the temple plays bhajans all day. However, during each of the azaans, they pause the bhajans."
"On the other side, the Muslim meat shops near their houses put up a black curtain and sell their wares discreetly from behind it during these nine nights, in respect of their fast and sentiments. The beauty of peaceful co-existence! Sigh!"
