Shocking Video Shows Desperate Migrants Allegedly Looting Food, Water Bottles At Delhi Station
A scene that took place at Old Delhi Railway Station on Friday, when numerous hungry migrant workers were seen looting a push-cart of food and water cartons has gone viral online.
In the past few weeks, we've seen migrant workers struggling to feed themselves and their families; there were pictures of some scavenging for leftover food at crematoriums, and collecting milk spilt on the road.
The coronavirus lockdown has led to massive economic devastation and joblessness. Amid this crisis, migrants across the country have been left hopeless and hungry.
Now, there are multiple videos on social media which expose their sorry plight and state of utter desperation.
Many of these migrants have allegedly been seen looting vending machines, food packets and water bottles at different railway stations.

In an incident that took place at Old Delhi railway station on Friday, numerous migrant workers desperate for food and water were seen looting a push-cart of food and water cartons. A video of the alleged incident has gone viral.
According to an NDTV report, the cart, with four cartons of snacks, possibly chips, biscuits and other packed products and water bottles was stopped at the platform by a couple of men and within minutes a crowd swarmed to get their hands on it.
No railway officials or police officers were reportedly present to restore order.
On May 14, another video from the Katihar railway station went viral. A man, apparently a migrant labourer, was seen standing with a carry bag full of biscuits on the platform. Within no time, some hungry co-passengers charged toward him and about one dozen soon began scrambling for packets of biscuits.Sorry to say but they aren't famished. This happens in India otherwise too. Distribute food items/articles free of cost and see how people assemble to loot the same. Stop this ugly politicisation. You're only furthering your propaganda in the name of 'migrant crisis'. https://t.co/8WHySHf7eB
