#SorrySheru Trends After Vegetable Vendor Who Abused Over 30 Dogs Gets Arrested

A bone-chilling incident has left the entire country extremely disturbed as a vegetable vendor in Maharashtra was arrested for bestiality after it came to light that he had tortured nearly 30 stray dogs.

A volunteer for an animal rights NGO called Bombay Animal Rights (BAR) secretly filmed the man luring a dog in Andheri West before raping it. The video was submitted to the cops who launched an investigation into the incident and that is when the 60-something-year-old man was arrested.
He has been booked under Sections 377 (unnatural sex) and 429 (harming animals) and section (11)(1)(a) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 1960 after being produced in a local court and sentenced to two days of police custody.
The incident has been condemned on social media by everyone and the hashtag #SorrySheru has been trending on Twitter. Animal lovers are urging authorities to ensure the safety of strays.
