Schools In Thailand Have Reopened With Strict Social Distancing, Reminding Us Of 'New Normal'
Images from schools in Thailand that opened in July with strict social distancing are going viral on the internet. These images and precautions appear borderline dystopic, and tell us that the coming generations will not, might not be raised or experience the same things as the previous ones.
Thailand has reopened schools for students, but the images of kids in classrooms are proof that life will not be the same as before any time soon.
Images of students¡¯ desk set apart and each having to put their heads inside a plastic sheet are doing rounds on social media, showing the strict social distancing measures being taken at schools to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
In other images reportedly from a nursery, little kids can be seen playing inside small transparent screened-off areas, alone.
The images were taken in Wat Khlong Toey School in Bangkok, which welcomed 250 students back to the classrooms, sometime ago.
The kindergarten was closed since mid-March after authorities in Thailand issued a nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus, much like many other countries.

Separate play areas have been set up for every student, plastic screens set up at their respective desks in classrooms, and socially-distanced boxes on the floor for pupils to stand in.
There are also temperature scanners in the nursery's entrance, with soap dispensers located outside each classroom.
Thailand has a relatively low death count compared to other countries, still the schools have taken measures for their staff and pupils.

These images and precautions appear borderline dystopic, and tell us that the coming generations might not be raised the way we were. Even after a cure or vaccine is found, physical interaction with strangers and acquaintances will be bare minimum.
The batch of 2020, in every class of school, college or any other educational institution have had to face challenges like no other students in recent history.
