United India: As Muslims Offer Namaz On The Road Amidst Protests, Others Form A Human Chain
Good Samaritans made a human chain around their Muslim brothers as they offered Namaz outside the gates of Jamia Millia Islamia. The video of the incident went viral on social media. As many as 19 Delhi metro stations were closed amid the protests.
In the midst of ongoing protests at Jamia Millia college, and other places, against the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) and NRC (National Register of Citizens), it¡¯s encouraging to see humanity survived.
What stood out at the protests that took place in Jamia Millia Islamia were the good Samaritans who made a human chain around their Muslim brothers as they offered Namaz outside the gates. To see this happen at a place where protests are happening was something really special.

This is what united India looks like!
Amidst the protests, Gurugram commuters heading to work faced huge traffic jams at the Delhi-Gurugram highway and as many as 19 Delhi metro stations were closed on the Yellow, Blue, Violet, and Magenta lines -- these include the second-busiest station in the network, Rajiv Chowk at Connaught Place.
The nineteen metro stations that have been closed are Rajiv Chowk (interchange available), Central Secretariat (interchange available), Patel Chowk, Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhawan, Chandni Chowk, Vishwavidyalaya, Pragati Maidan, Mandi House (interchange available), Barakhamba Road, ITO, Khan Market, Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Janpath, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh, Vasant Vihar, and Munirka.
Jamia campus turned into a battlefield as the police entered the campus on Sunday. Delhi Police went on to claim that they showed ¡®maximum restraint despite provocations¡¯ during Sunday¡¯s protest, even as the opposition demanded a judicial inquiry into the police action at Jamia Millia.
Several students were reportedly injured - some more seriously than others - during the course of the protests and were taken to hospitals to be treated. Alleged police brutality sparked anger among people, many of whom then came out in support of students, opening up their hearts and homes to those injured and looking for shelter.
