Watch: India Comes Together To Applaud Health Workers At Forefront Of Battle Against COVID-19
People came out at 5 PM to have an applause fest as proposed by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He introduced the idea while addressing the nation a few days ago when he also announced the Junta Curfew.
Okay, so as predicted, people came out at 5 PM to have an applause fest as proposed by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in order to thank all of those people who are working in order to serve us and make our lives convenient. The health workers, pharmacists, delivery boys, our domestic helps, public sector employees etc were included in this. He introduced the idea while addressing the nation a few days ago when he also announced the 'Junta Curfew' for today.
If you are in a remote place where you could not fortunately or unfortunately witness this bizarre yet mind-blowing phenomenon, here are videos from around the country.
Listen from my window. You can¡¯t see them but you can hear them!

All it took - one call from a leader.
No, it took something else. It took MORAL AUTHORITY. Which comes from a lifetime of tapasya. pic.twitter.com/GxiodoXqiS

While most people are lauding Modi's influence over the nation to bring millions together to get to do this, some were not as pleased with it. Some even broke protocol and instead of clapping from their balconies, stepped out in groups and did the same which completely negates the purpose.
Let us all be thoughtful after participating in this activity and remain indoors even after the curfew comes to an end at 9 PM.
