Video: Robot Dog Manages Flock Of Sheep & People Are Worried That AI Might Take Over Our Lives

Ever wondered what it would be like if artificial intelligence took over? Of course, you have. All of us got the memo from the movie 'Her' and imagined how our lives would change if AI robots became a part of our lives.
A video of a robot dog has surfaced on the Internet. The video was posted on technology company Rocos' YouTube page and it shows a robot named Spot, which is made by Boston Dynamics. Its purpose is to help out in the agricultural industry, especially to manage a flock of sheep.
While sharing the video, the company wrote in the caption: 'The use of autonomous robots in agriculture is increasing the efficiency of food production. Robots, like Spot from Boston Dynamics, increase accuracy in yield estimates, relieve the strain of worker shortages, and create precision in farming'.
Shared just three days ago, the video has 380,037 views already.
However, not everyone was on the same page about the use of robots. While some very completely in awe of the technological advancement, others weren't very happy about the idea of having a shepherd robot.
One user wrote, 'Herding sheep now but herding people later. An army of armored and armed robot dogs would be formidable.'
Another commented, 'Never thought sheep dogs are among the first to be out of job.'
The robot dog has been programmed with remote mission which allows it to operate in hard-to-reach hillsides, as reported by Evening Standard. Rocos chief executive, David Inggs, told the publication, ¡°Our customers are augmenting their human workforces to automate physical processes that are often dull, dirty, or dangerous."
