Whether a news report or song lyrics, both the writer of the news report and the songwriter want to say something, right? Whether it's sentiments or a message, what if the two tasks are jumbled up? A video clip of weather anchor Adam Krueger from Texas has gone viral after he included Snoop Dogg songs in his regular weather forecast. One of his followers asked Krueger, who is the Chief Meteorologist at CW39 Houston, to do so, and he complied by sharing a video of the same on TikTok.
Before pulling off the experiment, Krueger informed his supporters that he would be utilising the lyrics from Snoop Dogg's debut solo track "Who Am I (What's My Name)?" according to the New York Post. Krueger wasted no time in incorporating the lyrics into his weather report. "From the depths of the sea to the back of the block!" he said as the television displayed Babe's Beach in Galveston, Texas.
In addition to receiving praise from his friends and followers on social media, the Texas weatherman received a shoutout from Snoop Dog himself.
The rapper captioned the video he shared on his Instagram account as: "Weatherman on one."
"We¡¯re gonna be warm and humid, with highs in the 80s, guess what, ¡®it¡¯s like that, rat tat tat tat," he concludes his Snoop Dogg-inspired weather forecast. The video has received 1.8 million views on Instagram.
Many people were drawn to the lyrical weather report on the internet. Both, TikTok and Instagram users swarmed the weatherman's comment area.
"Challenge passed," a user wrote. Another user said, "That¡¯s our weatherman in town."
Krueger's Special Segments
Krueger's "Sneaking Words in the Weather" segment involves his fans suggesting song lyrics from well-known artists¡ªor even movie and TV allusions¡ªfor the long-time meteorologist to integrate into his televised appearances.
Krueger, who has been with his station since 2020, draws inspiration from famous musicians such as Beyonc¨¦, Notorious BIG, and Eminem, and his most-watched video has over 5.5 million views.
