Taylor Swift was once warned against dating Matty Healy by Azealia Banks: 'This guy is gonna give you scabies'
Azealia Banks and Matty Healy are once again locking horns on social media. But this wouldn't be the first time they go neck to neck. Previously, Banks had called Matty a 'poor incel' and warned Taylor Swift against dating him amidst rumours of their romance last year. He had hit back at her, cracking offensive jokes at singer Ice Spice's expense.
Matty Healy returned to X (formerly Twitter) last week and hasn't shut up since then. After announcing his return to the microblogging site with a dig at Taylor Swift's fans, the 1975 frontman is now locking horns with Azealia Banks. Healy called Banks a 'hater' after her criticism of his friend and singer Charlie XCX.
But this is not the first time Matty Healy and Azealia Banks have beefed online. The two have been each other's long-time haters who do not mince words while taking vile jibes at each other. The timeline of their online feud isn't clear, but it became evident last year when the rapper warned Taylor Swift against dating Healy.

Fresh off her breakup with Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift fueled romance rumours with Matty Healy after they were spotted together holding hands and kissing in May last year. However, their romance was short-lived, as People reported the couple had broken up in June after just one month of whirlwind romance.

When the rumours of their romance first surfaced last summer, Azealia Banks took to Instagram to warn the Eras Tour star against getting involved with Healy. In her Instagram stories, Azealia, a long-time admirer of Swift, slammed Healy, writing, "Taylor, this guy is gonna give you scabies. He¡¯s not on the level of powerful p¨Cs. You worked HELLA. Hard to build. Ugh, so many much cooler people in music to work with."
Referring to him as a 'full-time incel,' she added, ¡°You cannot be letting him climb the rich white c*****e mountain."
How Matty Healy got back at Azealia Banks
Healy wasn't going to let this one slide. During his appearance on the Adan Friedland Show the same month Banks warned Taylor about him, he went way too far and cracked offensive jokes at singer Ice Spice's expense. Though he later apologised, she called him a 'lame loser' with a 'trash clich¨¦' band name. "He¡¯s so pressed that a Black girl who knows nothing about him or his music is making more moves and more money than him," Banks said.
How did the feud reignite?
Matty Healy and Azealia Banks' feud reunited after Banks commented on Charli XCX's appearance from 2014, writing "She used to be soooo pretty". She added, "Ugh. Boaaa, I swear them Weho gays be having the girls questioning themselves meanwhile they all scraping k off a cookie sheet, eating cold bossanova and sharing panties. Tuh."
Replying to her, the Somebody Else singer wrote, "Azealia you seem to have a blind spot when it comes to your 'reads'. All the women you attack seem to be culturally relevant, attractive, divisive and NICE people. I think this makes you jealous cos you're so talented but everything else about you is a failure. Just rap bro."

In her follow-up tweet, Banks claimed Charli looks like Frankenstein to her, claiming they both did drugs together. Matty then came out in his friend's defence with a heated tweet which read: "I'll f***** slap you so hard I'll get a Guinness world record for the highest a rat some b***h calls a wig has ever flown."
However, he later deleted his fiery tweet and apologised saying, "I'm not gonna hit a girl that's insane I'm sorry".
