The Disney fairytale that turned into a full-blown nightmare
The ceremony took place in front of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, decked out with a floral arch, white chairs, live musicians, and a towering wedding cake. Around 100 people were in attendance, most recruited online as fake ¡°guests,¡± believing they were heading to a legit ceremony. Spoiler: it was anything but.
French prosecutors say the man orchestrated the entire event, spending a jaw-dropping ?111,000 to privatise part of the theme park. He even used a fake Latvian identity and forged documents to secure the venue. Disneyland claims they were duped by the man, and staff only realised the ¡°bride¡± was a child on the actual day.

Known offender, still got in
According to the Meaux prosecutors¡¯ office, the man is on the British sex offenders register and currently wanted in the UK for violating the terms of his registration. Let that sink in¡ªa known paedophile managed to pull off a faux Disney wedding while being actively hunted by British authorities.
More arrests, deeper twisted plot
Alongside the suspect, three more adults have been arrested: the child¡¯s mother (41), a 24-year-old Latvian woman who posed as the bride¡¯s sister, and a 55-year-old Latvian man also involved in the performance. Prosecutors say the entire thing was meant to be live-streamed on social media.
Despite the horrifying twist, a medical exam confirmed the child had not suffered any physical harm. Still, guests were left shaken. One extra said the crowd was ¡°stunned¡± when they saw who the bride really was, and praised Disneyland for immediately shutting the event down.
