Sri Lanka Women is all set to host India Women and South Africa Women in a Women's Tri-Series tournament starting on April 27, 2025, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The tournament, played in the ODI format, will feature six matches before concluding with the final on May 11, 2025. The top two teams from the group stage will advance to the title clash.
All three teams have included uncapped players in their squads, promising a mix of fresh talent and familiar rivalries. The Tri-Series will also serve as crucial preparation for the 50-over World Cup, scheduled to take place in India later this year.

Team captains and key players
Sri Lanka Women, led by Chamari Attapaththu, will feature a strong squad with talents like Vishmi Gunaratne, Harshitha Samarawickrama, and Inoka Ranaweera. Although Attapaththu's recent form has been patchy, Sri Lanka remains a formidable side at home.
India Women, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, will enter the Tri-Series as firm favorites. The side also has Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Yastika Bhatia, and Arundhati Reddy who will play pivotal roles.
