Recently, the first 'super rare' furry Simba Ooshie went on auction on eBay. The price started at a whooping $10,000 (approximately Rs 4,74,000). Quite a few on the Internet were apprehensive and believed that the Simba Ooshie would not sell. But, five days after it was ¡®auctioned¡¯, not only it did sell, but it got almost 10 times more than the bidding price.
There are only a 100 of these rare furry collectibles available in Australia, and the price of almost $100k (approx Rs 47,46,000) at which this one piece was sold, shows how in-demand Ooshies are.
The 'Furry Simba' exactly sold for a mind boggling $99,900. A total of 108 bids were made in five days.

A post there read, ¡®Yeah good luck selling a bit of plastic that you actually got for free on eBay for nearly 10 Grand', while top fan Kathryn commented that 'some people have more $$ than sense¡¯.
Now that people have an idea what an Ooshie can potentially fetch on eBay, the hunt for them has become more aggressive.

A lot of us might not understand why would a 'fluff' toy sell for this crazy price, but collectors who spend millions on seemingly useless things, might argue that there is a lot more to them than just their production price.
