Tamuli decided to wed his dead girlfriend with a promise to keep her in his life forever.
Subhon Bora, a relative of Prathana, said she had suddenly fallen sick beyond recovery a few days prior to her death on Saturday, November 18 at the hospital, a report said. A video of the heartbreaking ceremony was shared on Youtube shortly after.
While this might seem like an anomalous incident, a wedding involving at least one dead person, people getting married posthumously is not unheard of in a different part of India.
