Mother Gets A Shock After Baby Grows Thick Hair All Over Her Body In Just Two Months
Myla, Kei'Yonna's fourth child grew thick hair all over her body just two months after her birth.
A mother was shocked after her newborn baby started growing an abnormal amount of hair all over her body.
This mother by the name of Kei'Yonna Gumbs gave birth to her fourth child, Myla and around that time the newborn baby already had a full head of hair, but also quite a lot of hair on her arms and legs, which seemed quite unusual.
However, after just two months, she started growing hair all over her body, which was much weirder.
Myla now has hair on her thighs and calves, as well as on her cheeks, upper arms, and forearms. But her mother Kei'Yonna, from Texas, said that she has never seen anything like this and none of her other children had this issue.
About this Kei'Yonna said, "I was shocked when I noticed the hair coming in, but she's so gorgeous that it didn't matter, I will always love her. To all the mothers out there with daughter's like mine, embrace your baby. At birth, she had a lot of hair but it was straight, It didn't start to curl up until she was around two and a half months. That's the same time I started to notice the hair on her legs and arms."
Apparently, Myla's abnormal hair growth is likely to be attributed to Hypertrichosis, a condition in which a person has an abnormal amount of hair growth over the body. This condition can be either congenital (present at birth) or acquired later in life. There are two distinct types of hypertrichosis - generalised hypertrichosis (occurring all over the body) and localised hypertrichosis (restricted to a certain area).
However, it doesn't really affect any other functioning of the body and a person can lead on with a normal life.
