'Wear Ponytail, Bring $75K Gift, And Don't Talk To Bride': Bizzare Rules List For Wedding Guest Infuriates Netizens

People do lose a little of their sanity while planning weddings. However, these weddings hosts definitely took it up a notch.

A list of wedding rules shared on behalf of a bride and groom has gone viral on the internet. The rules explain the dos and don'ts for the wedding guests.

The wedding guests are not supposed to talk to the bride and groom. They should also bring a gift worth $75 (Rs 5,500) or more.

This email was sent by the wedding planner to confirm their attendance at the event.

The email was shared on Reddit. It reads, "Good morning... I am reaching out to all confirmed guests to do a final headcount and go over some rules and regulations of the wedding day." The mail asked, "First of all, are you still attending with a plus one?"

It goes on, "One - please arrive 15 - 30 minutes early. Two - Please do not wear white, cream or ivory. Three - Please do not wear anything other than a basic bob or ponytail. Four - Please do not have a full face of makeup. Five - Do not record during the ceremony. Six - Do not check in on Facebook until instructed." The list went on, "Seven - use #(removed) when posting all pictures. Eight - Do not talk to the bride at all. Nine - Everyone will toast with Remy. Ten - Lastly, must come with a gift $75 or more or you won't be admitted in."

People commented on the post and said they would rather boycott the wedding than attending it.

One user wrote, "'Don't talk to the bride' really means 'I'm the bride but I'm going to pretend I'm someone else in case people don't like this'. She can throw the wedding planner under the bus and pretend she knew nothing about it. In actuality, she either doesn't have a wedding planner or the wedding planner knew nothing about this."

Another commented, "I do hope everyone with short hair, especially the men, are able to get extensions so they can fashion their hair into a simple ponytail or bun. They make clip on one's, right?" A third wrote, "I'd do half my face in makeup, lady gaga style."
