Hilarious clip: Comedian claims to be the world's fastest reader
Well, the Nigerian comedian Josh Alfred (popularly known as Josh2Funny) created a hilarious skit where he claimed that he was the fastest reader in the world.
In the said skit, which is now going viral, Josh goes to give an audition, which seems like a dig at a reality show where people have to showcase their talents.
There are two judges who are out there to rate the talent. Once Josh goes on stage, he claims that he is the fastest reader in the world and that he can read 1,679 pages in two seconds. The judges were not able to believe this fact. They say in the video that, as per the Guinness World Records, the fastest reader in the world can manage to read 80 pages per minute.
This is when Alfred says that he reads so fast because of his passion and not to showcase to the world, which is why people don't know about his talent. So, the judges asked him to prove his claim, and Alfred was asked to read.
Alfred then picks up a book and skims through it while rapidly saying gibberish. He follows the same act with a few books. When he was finished, the judges were left amused because they could not understand anything the man had read. In response, the comedian explains that since he read everything very fast, it was impossible for anyone to understand him.
When the judges asked him to tell them what he understood from the book, he could not say anything. This is when the judges got really mad at him and asked him to not fool them.

The clip was shared on Alfred's Instagram page and since then it has gone viral.
The video has over one million likes and thousands of comments. Commenting on the video, a Twitter user said, "Sometimes I genuinely feel that Josh is not well, because what is this?" Another user wrote, "In his defence, he said he is the fastest reader in the world. It has nothing to do with understanding what he read".
Meanwhile, American man Howard Stephen Berg is recognised as the world's fastest reader. He reads over 25,000 words in a minute and remembers them. He is listed in the 1990 Guinness Book of World Records as well.
