A 'crappy' situation unfolded midair recently when a US Delta flight had to take a detour and make an emergency landing after a patient got sick with diarrhoea on the plane. The flight was headed to Barcelona, Spain, from Atlanta when the ¡°biohazard¡± issue came up and a passenger ¡°had diarrhoea all the way through the plane.¡±

The Airbus A350 airplane had been flying for two hours across the Atlantic, heading from Georgia to Spain on a Friday, when the pilot requested to return due to a fecal-related problem.
The pilot mentioned this as a ¡°biohazard issue" as heard in the recording from LiveATC.com which was also shared on X, formally Twitter. Over the radio, the pilot said, ¡°We¡¯ve had a passenger who¡¯s had diarrhea all the way through the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta.¡±
While the passenger's identity remains unknown, both passengers and crew were relocated, and Flight DL194 eventually reached Barcelona at 5:10 p.m. the following day, which was eight hours later than originally scheduled, as reported by Flightradar24.

The Details Of The Passenger Are Unknown
There is uncertainty regarding whether the passenger with the digestive issue was still on the plane upon its arrival in Spain. A purported Federal Aviation Authority flight strip was shared on Reddit, seemingly confirming the presence of a "biohazard" situation throughout the aircraft.
After the aircraft landed in Atlanta, cleaning crews were able to thoroughly clean it, as flight records indicated its use for another flight.
Delta officials verified that a "medical issue" had occurred on the plane, necessitating its diversion to Atlanta for cleaning.
A Delta spokesperson noted, ¡°Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to thoroughly clean the airplane and get our customers to their final destination. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and inconvenience to their travel plans.¡±
