Doctor Ends Up On Date After Operating On Bumble Match, The Internet Thinks It's Unethical
In a bizarre Bumble run-in, a doctor swiped right on a woman with irregular periods and ended up operating on her. It turns out that two months later, both ended up on a date with each other. The internet questions the doctor's ethics after the post goes viral on Twitter.
For Gen Z and millennials still roaming the dating market, bumping into the love of your life has been reduced to swiping right on a dating app. It seems like exchanging numbers with a stranger you met on the street has vanished altogether because frankly there¡¯s been too many crime docs that begin along the same lines.
Doctor Ends Up On Date After Operating On Bumble Date
So, no one can blame the young for using an app¡¯s help to steer their romantic ships. However, even on these apps, bizarre run-ins are abundant. The most recent case to have gone viral was a doctor¡¯s claim on X, formally Twitter, that he had matched with a woman who was experiencing irregular menstrual cycles.
The Obstetrician and Gynecologist, who goes by the username @Pinacodalda, shared that after he matched with a girl on Bumble she showed up for consultation at his clinic. After a close examination, they found a large fibroid in her uterus. He then operated on her.
Two months after the operation, the doctor ended up on a date with the woman. The weird dating story soon took off on the internet and went viral for all the wrong reasons. People on the internet were puzzled and started to question the doctor¡¯s ethics.

The Doctor Insisted That It Was A 'Friendly' Date
However, in another comment under the original post, the gynecologist clarified that the date was a friendly dinner with the patient who just wanted to thank the doctor for his help. Many commenters started to congratulate the doctor, but he insisted in replies that the date was in fact a friendly gesture rather than a romantic escapade.
It was a friendly date maam? she just wanted to say thanks

While most reminded the doctor that the situation sounded rather sticky if they were to weigh in the ethical nature of the date, others thought the story was hilarious. One wrote, ¡°I thought Practo was the app to look for doctors and not bumble.¡±

The ethics police on the internet gathered and wrote things like, ¡°Technically you¡¯re being unethical. I hate to break it to you,¡± ¡°You can't date your patient according to rules,¡± with the majority echoing similar sentiments.
