To discipline her kids ahead of Christmas, this mother chose to use a fake CCTV as a weapon.
Delaney McGuire, who hails from Texas, has been able to keep a tab on her kids by installing a fake CCTV camera that her children believe is real.
"We were casually shopping at Five Below and came across fake cameras. My husband then thought of the idea to install them or - 'Santa' to install them - to keep an eye on them. My kids are great but just have a hard time when it comes to chores. We were hoping for this to be a fun/creative way to drive them to do more,¡± McGuire told LadBible.
She said their behaviour changed quickly as they wanted to impress Santa. The CCTV apparently did wonders, according to her the kids are now fighting about who is going to do the most chores.
"The kids immediately reacted with excitement and curiosity. They right away wanted to impress Santa, and started asking for things to do. I gave them a basket of laundry that needed folding and they got to it right away,¡± said McGuire.
We went to 5 below and saw fake cameras to put on the wall. When the kids got home we told them that Santa dropped by and installed them to keep a better eye on their behavior,¡± McGuire wrote on Facebook.
Parenting is already such a tough job and a mischievous kid can make it a whole lot harder and people like Delaney McGuire make life a little easier for exhausted parents with these tricks.
