A Scene From 'Final Destination'? Passengers Receive Eerie Plane Crash Pics On Phone Minutes Before Take Off
A flight scheduled to depart from the airport was aborted minutes before take-off after a number of passengers received eerie photos of plane crashes on their phones.
We can all agree that no matter how brave we are, pre-flight jitters are something we all go through. So, if one comes to know about a default in the plane it can cause instant panic.
This is exactly what happened in Israel when a flight was aborted minutes before its take-off after passengers on this plane received eerie pictures of a plane crash on their phones.
The photos were received just before the passengers were set to travel to Turkey. After the pilot was alerted about the photos he turned back to the terminal in Tel Aviv amid the panic.
According to Israeli news outlet Kan News, the images received by the passengers showed a series of plane crashes with no explanation whatsoever. But passengers weren't able to determine who the sender was.
"We got on the flight and the plane started moving. Most people received a request for a photo confirmation in AirDrop, some approved and some did not. The plane stopped and the flight attendants asked who got the pictures.¡± a passenger told the outlet.
Among the many pictures sent, there was one that showed the Turkish Airline plane that crashed in Amsterdam in 2009. A second image showed the wreckage of the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 that crashed in San Francisco in 2013.
Another showed the burnt fuselage of Asiana Airlines Flight 214, which crash-landed in a fireball in San Francisco in 2013.
After the incident took place, all 166 passengers were escorted off the plane and taken to the airport. All passengers and their pieces of luggage were taken off the flight for extra security checks at Ben Gurion airport.
It is not yet confirmed who sent the pictures, but security officials believe it is someone inside the plane itself. Airports Authority spokesman Ofer Lefler said: "All passengers and luggage are now undergoing an additional inspection. "The Israeli police and other security officials are also investigating the incident."
The IAA mentioned that the plane would normally take off after the security checks have confirmed that there is no threat or nothing abnormal going on.
This definitely seems like a scene from the movie 'Final Destination.'
