'Desi Nuske' Gone Too Far? Cat Turns Yellow After Owner Applies Haldi To Treat Its Fungal Infection

However, sometimes things can go wrong but for all the right reasons; a woman from Thailand accidentally dyed her white cat yellow after using turmeric to treat a fungal infection.

The woman, named Thammapa Supamas, went all out while applying turmeric to her cat when it developed an infection. Turmeric is known to have healing properties, and is pretty effective especially when it comes to skin infections. However, it is also very difficult to get rid of turmeric stains from clothes and other things. In this case, it was a white cat who turned absolutely yellow.

How did it happen?
While Supamas was supposed to just cover the affected area with turmeric; she covered the cat's entire body. Now, the cat looks like she was dipped in haldi water because its entire fur on its body has turned to the colour yellow.
Supamas shared pictures of her cat's new 'look' and also applied some extra make-up to make her pet look like the famous Pok¨¦mon character Pikachu. Seems like the cat will take some time before it can get back to looking like itself.
As we all know how turmeric has a plethora of health benefits, the treatment worked out successfully for the feline's paws where the infection was.
