Planes Collide Mid-Air, Skydivers Survive Crash In Viral Video
Even though skydiving instructors are used to it all, one incident that took place years ago in 2013 is still haunting the internet. The incident took place in the skies of Wisconsin, USA when two planes carrying skydivers crashed into one another as the skydivers were bracing for a plunge.
A video capturing the moment of impact between the two planes has been resurfacing on the internet. Twitter user Kira shared a clip of the crash with the caption, ¡°Imagine skydiving for the first time and this s-t happens.¡±
In the video, three skydivers are readying themselves for a plunge as they grab onto the sides of the chartered plane when the plane suddenly comes into contact with another plane carrying more skydivers. A big splash of orange and yellow fills the screen right after the crash.
The three divers lose their grip on the plane and go crashing down to land along with the planes that endure much of the damage in the accident.

None Of The Skydivers Or Pilots Involved Was Injured After The Crash
The incident took place 12,000 feet in the air though according to AP reports none of the nine skydivers involved in the crash was injured. Even the two pilots of the planes that collided were discovered unharmed and well.
Skydiving instructor and safety advisor Mike Robinson revealed that the divers had gone up to complete their last jump of the day called the ¡°sunset load¡±. The two planes were initially flying in formation.
The jump was going to be a routine plunge. Luckily, all the skydivers and instructors on board had hundreds of jumps under their belt. Robinson, himself, completed his 937th plunge on the day.
Robinson noted that they had no idea what had conspired for the planes to have crashed in the middle of a routine jump, ¡°We do this all the time. We just don't know what happened for sure that caused this,¡± he said.
Robinson shared, ¡°We were just a few seconds away from having a normal skydive when the trail plane came over the top of the lead aircraft and came down on top of it. It turned into a big flash fireball, and the wing separated.¡±
In the end, the divers knew how to handle the situation. He added, ¡°All of us knew we had a crash. ... The wing over our head was gone, so we just left.¡±
