Spain: Rat Sends Politicians Scampering After Making An Appearance In Parliament
As the rat went scurrying under the chairs and tables on the parliament¡¯s floor, it left politicians scared.
A parliament proceeding in Spain was disrupted after a rat entered the hall as members were about to cast their vote on an important issue on Wednesday.
A footage of the entire instance has gone viral where the speaker of the house gasped in shock on catching sight of the rodent. After seeing her reaction, other politicians jumped to their feet and scrambled to get away from it.

According to news website T13, the Andalusian Parliament was forced to temporarily suspend their session after the rat sneaked into the room while members of the parliament were about to start the vote to designate Susana Diaz as a senator.
Regional speaker Marta Bosquet was mid-sentence when she noticed the rat. She shrieked, bringing her hand to her mask-covered mouth and startling the person sitting next to her. The camera then panned to show one politician running away as others cleared the area where the offending creature had been spotted.

According to Express UK, the animal caught legislators off-guard just as they were about to cast their votes on an important matter for the Andalusia region. Elected members were about to vote on whether to anoint Susana Diaz, the former regional president, as a senator for the region.
The members apparently tried to corner the rat for several minutes as the parliament session dissolved into mayhem. Moreover, the panic caused one parliamentarian to plead with members to remain calm, but to no avail.

The vice president of the organisation was finally able to capture the rat and removed it from the room amid laughter from colleagues who also applauded him.
Parliament proceedings resumed as normal after the rat was removed. Members assembled again and voted Susana Diaz as senator for the autonomous community of Andalusia, replacing Fernando Lopez Gil.
