Lucapa Diamond Company, an Australian mining company based in Perth recently unveiled a 15.2 carat diamond in the shape of a heart.
Additionally, it also released two pear-shaped diamonds, one 3.3 carats, the other 2.3 carats. According to news.com.au, these diamonds were cut from a "monster" 46-carat rock found in the company's mine in Angola.

According to reports, as a result of Angola signing up for the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, new reforms and laws have not only increased healthy competition and helped producers get better prices, they've also managed to dry out the "blood diamonds" the trade earlier produced.

Ganga Junior, chairman of Lucapa's partner Endiama told Daily Mercury, "The results obtained from this diamond are a reflection of the new government policies for the Angolan diamond sub-sector."
"They also constitute physical and visible evidence of the great potential of the Lulo mine, which due to the quality and characteristics of the diamonds it has produced boosts our confidence in the future of the national diamond industry."
