In a video shared by a woman on social media, she demonstrated that the purpose of the little red light is to make other lights shimmer and glow. She captioned the video, ¡°I was today years old when I found out what these are for.¡±
In the clip, she starts by removing a single bulb from a string of lights and replacing it with the red one. "Wait for it," she teases, heightening the holiday anticipation. Then, as captured in the festive DIY video, the strand of lights begins to flicker.

How Do You Use These Red-Nosed Bulbs?
All you have to do is unscrew a regular light bulb from the string hanging on your Christmas tree and install the red-nosed bulb instead. Upon screwing in the red bulb, the string of lights will automatically start to flicker.
