Video Of Santa Claus Getting Arrested In Australia Goes Viral
In a series of odd events, a man dressed head to toe in the Christmas spirit was spotted starting a bit of a broil in the Victoria location of the iconic Aussie store. The store manager and employees asked the Santa Claus imposter to leave the premises several times but the Christmas-clad cosplayer refused to do so.
This led to the police racing to the store to sort out the problem. However, even with the police there, the Christmas character refused to leave the store. According to LADbible, Victoria police said in a statement, ¡°Police were called to a business on McMahons Road, Frankston about 1pm after reports of a man behaving erratically. The man was asked to leave by staff but refused. Officers were forced to escort the man off the premises but he resisted officers and assaulted them.¡±
Santa¡¯s ruckus eventually resulted in the police using force to detain him. He was wrestled to the ground and pepper sprayed. Afterwards, the man collapsed and was in need of medical attention, which is when the paramedics came in. He was taken in an ambulance to the Frankston hospital.
The store staff confirmed that Santa was not an employee of the store. What is most curious is that the man was not the only Santa cosplayer who caused a ruckus at the store that day. A little later the cops had to intervene again as a second fellow dressed as Santa caused a scene at the store.
