In November 2021, Ano Sartania, a 21-year-old resident of the Eastern European country of Georgia, received a TikTok video from a friend. The video featured a woman sporting blue hair, displaying a striking resemblance to Sartania.
The friend, initially assuming the woman in the video was Sartania with newly dyed blue hair, expressed curiosity about the change. However, Sartania, taken aback, clarified that the person in the video wasn't her at all.

In an attempt to uncover more about her uncanny look-alike, Sartania shared the video on a Facebook group, hoping that someone might recognise the mysterious woman. Her efforts paid off when a friend of the mystery woman¡ªlater identified as Tako Khvitia, the twin¡ªcame across the post and provided Sartania with contact details to reach her.
Finally connecting via phone, Sartania was stunned to discover the astonishing truth that the woman who resembled her so strikingly was none other than her long-lost twin.
Where Did The Twins Finally Meet?
The estranged siblings finally reunited two years ago on the Rustaveli Bridge, situated in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. After meeting her sister, Sartania expressed, ¡°When I hugged her, I felt a feeling of familiarity. Then the voice; it¡¯s as if you already knew what voice [she] had.¡±
Why Were The Twins Separated At Birth?

The emotional reunion concluded the sad saga that originated 19 years ago, precisely on June 20, 2002. The day marked the birth of the twins, Ano and Tako, to their mother, Aza Shoni, in the small village of Kirtskhi.
Tragically, due to undisclosed birth complications, Aza slipped into a coma. After which, her husband, Gocha Gakharia, who already had three children, harboured doubts about the twins' paternity and took the distressing decision to illegally sell Ano and Tako to separate families in different regions of Georgia, as per La Repubblica.
Consequently, Ano was raised in Tbilisi, unaware of her familial connection, while her identical counterpart grew up approximately 250 kilometres away in Zugdidi, a city in western Georgia. Both lived separate lives, completely unaware of each other's existence.
